WELCOME TO DAWES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Charles Gates Dawes Elementary School is a Chicago Public School located on Chicago's southwest side.  Dawes is a Math & Science Magnet Cluster School, whose vision and mission are as follows:

Dawes School will foster an inclusive, healthy and safe learning environment supported by a researched-based curriculum and meaningful assessment with a focus on literacy, math, science and technology. Education is everyone's responsibility at Dawes School. We will implement an effective curriculum, supported by professional development, with an emphasis on literacy, math, science, and technology. Students, staff, families, and community members will work together to improve achievement for all students. Our students will acquire the skills needed to promote life-long learning, critical thinking, personal growth, and an appreciation of diversity.
